There are two routes to go to Ladakh, first from Srinagar to Leh and second from Manali to Leh. Apart from this, there is a direct bus from Jammu, Srinagar, and Delhi to Ladakh.

The nearest railway station of Ladakh is Jammu Tawi, which is about 700 km from Ladakh. To go beyond this, you have to travel by taxi or bus. It takes about two days to reach Ladakh from Jammu Tawi and the taxi fare is about 9-10 thousand rupees.

You can reach Ladakh in a very short time by airplane. The timing of flights to get here is ensured differently in winter and summer. Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochi Airport is the main airport here. To reach here, you have to pay about two to three thousand rupees.

Best Time To Visit Ladakh

The best tourist season to visit Ladakh is from April to August. Due to the low temperature, people like to visit Ladakh in summer. Some people also go to Ladakh for the winter season. The rivers here turn into sheet tracks in Winter.
